This is double the score of the M1 chip, which is found on the outgoing 13-inch MacBook Pro. The chip takes a massive leap in Geekbench’s multi-core performance test by scoring 11,542. The Geekbench listing reveals that Apple’s top-end M1 chip scores 1749 in single-core test. Hours after the launch, Apple’s new M1 Max chip has visited the Geekbench website. The company claimed that the new chip offers up to 70 per cent improved CPU performance and up to 4x better GPU performance compared to M1. Apple introduced the M1 Pro and M1 Max chip, which power both the 14” and 16” models. While these additions are great, the highlight feature of the new MacBook Pros is the performance unit. Apple has also added more ports, including an SD card port. The new MacBook Pro comes with an all-new design with a notch at the top of the display. Apple launched the MacBook Pro at the Unleashed Apple event on October 18.
